Working a Ski Season

Why not spend part of your gap year working doing a ski resort job in Europe? Every year British ski and snowboard companies employ thousands of people on ski season contracts lasting from two weeks to 6 months.

Ski jobs are usually live-in jobs with accommodation provided, a small wage / living allowance and other benefits like free or subsidised ski lift passes. You often get your travel to and from resort paid so this a great way to spend a few months abroad without breaking the bank. You may not come back with any savings but you will probably have a great time, gain valuable work experience and maybe even inprove your ski or snowboard skills!

The roles available available include chalet hosts, childcare staff, drivers, receptionists, reps, ski guides, waiting staff, chefs and cooks. You can get more info on the different roles available at
Ski Jobs, the largest jobs site for this type of season work. Ski jobs usually start in early December and run to the end of the season in late April / May. Resort jobs in the alps are normally only available to UK / EU nationals or non-UK / EU nationals with a valid work permit. Ski & boots equipment.
