Gap Years for the Over 50s

Travel operator, Bridge the World, have reported a growing number of over 50s embarking on gap years.

These travellers are spending up to 3 months away, the most popular destinations being Australia and New Zealand, although Bangkok and Borneo where also popular choices.

Bridge the World's commercial director said "We are seeing these grown-up gap trips being booked by people who have been to Australia or New Zealand once before to visit friends and family, however now they're returning to see more and to stay for longer."
