Gap Year Student Visits Conflict Zones

Ben Jones spent six weeks this summer visiting Iraq and Libya before heading off to Cambridge University.

"I was going to take a full gap year but, after hearing about the rise in tuition fees, I decided to take a shorter break before going to university" he explained.

He was inspired to vist the war torn countries after seeing them on the news and wanting to find out what they were really like. Despite a few dicey moments, he said of his trip "It was an absolutely amazing and enlightening adventure."
