Gap Year Scholarships for young geographers

The Royal Geographical Society awards gap year scholarships to young geographers each year. Designed for students who would not otherwise be able to have an overseas gap year before starting university, the scholarship includes a grant of up to £4000 as well as expert support and mentoring towards organising the experience.

Students hoping to take a gap year in summer 2011 must submit their applications for the scholarship before the closing date, which is Friday 24th September 2010.
