Gap Year Inspires Charity

Alexandria Le Carpentier spent the summer volunteering in an orphanage in Vietnam with Global Volunteer Network. She was so inspired by her experience that she is continuing to raise funds for the orphans.

Whilst in Vietnam she saw the huge difference that volunteers made to the quality of life of the children at the ophanage, teaching them English and providing the orphanage with fans and mosquito nets for the bedrooms.

Ally is holding an "Eat So They Can" event at Ivy House Farm on 23rd October where she will be cooking some of the dishes she learnt while in Vietnam. Derbyshire Dales District Council have also provided her with a stall at Bakewell Market on 19th December.
