Backpackers Warned of Floods

Thailand's prime minister, Yingluck Shinawatra, has warned that rising floodwaters are threatening the capital, Bangkok.

The govenor of Bangkok has said that the situation is currently under control, but that city officials had been told to prepare for evacuations should it become necessary.
